A slow-paced epic movie with superb acting by legendary actors (Pacino and Pesci, specially). Excellent directing, beautiful cinematography, solid screenplay and Oscar-level editing. The performances, across the board, are tremendous. So amazing to see Jonathan Morris back in his vestments, by the way. He provides a subtle but important frame to the film – nice uroboros. Joe Pesci is just phenomenal – I truly hope he picks up at least a supporting actor nom for his performance, if not a win. The dialogue is pitch-perfect. Just an amazing job by Scorsese. A instant classic and a modern masterpiece.
