Jobs @YUP: Work-From-Home Tutoring Job

Yup, a mobile tutoring app that connects students with math tutors, is looking for some whizzes to help explain vector-valued functions and Riemann sums.

(This is the part where I admit that I’m looking up these terms on a sample AP Math exam.)

After filling out the application, you’ll take a teaching exam plus exams for each subject you’d like to tutor for — subjects include pre-algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus AB.

Each exam takes about one hour, and the company website says the entire application process takes about 24 hours.

Yup pays tutors based on “experience, communication skills and content mastery,” according to the site. They are paid via PayPal or direct deposit.

Get in enough hours, and that paycheck could really add up. I’ll stop.

Math not your thing? Don’t forget to check out our Work-From-Home Jobs Portal. We post new opportunities there all the time — and we vet them, too.
